Slippers in the Snow

A song by Ruthie Thomas

There’s a woman I know in Whitchurch Hospital
Her mind got broken 15 years ago
And her husband wouldn’t say
Until that Winter morning
When the pipes got frozen

And Nina wore her slippers in the snow
And I need to sing this song about her
Need to shout so everybody knows
Inside her spirit’s whole
Only her mind got shattered

And the mind is not the window to her soul
